Rob Johnson's Bio
Rob Johnson was born and raised in Oklahoma, where his radio career began at the age of 16. After school Rob would drive to his local hometown radio station and do his daily afternoon show on a country format. “To this day I’m still haunted by the sounds of Porter Wagner,” Rob laments.
Rob’s career spanned the nation with top rated music morning shows in Riverside/San Bernardino, California, Charlotte, North Carolina and Orlando, Florida. But, on Sept. 11, 2001, everything changed. “I knew that day that America was going to change, and that if no one was watching and broadcasting what was happening, the change could transform America into a nation we no longer recognize.” Months later, Rob made the move to Talk Radio.
From his station covering the vast California Central Valley region, Rob found himself in the center of two local stories that captivated the nation – Congressman Gary Condit’s affair with his later murdered intern Chandra Levy, and the Christmas murder of pregnant mom Lacey Peterson and subsequent trial of her husband Scott Peterson. Rob’s show being the focal point of information and breaking news on both stories, Rob was featured on CNN, Fox News, NBC, CBS, ABC, and more.
“I love this city,” says Rob. “Atlanta is truly one of America’s great cities, and to play a part in getting the city up and running each morning is more thrilling to me than a Six Flags ride on Goliath.”
